Monorail
Say it isn't true.....my friend just returned from WDW last week and she told me that "voice" on the monorail has been changed??

Welcome to Disney Central!!!!
We went two weeks ago and the "voice" on the monorail was the same as it always has been!! I hope they haven't changed it since we've come back!

Hmmmm. I find this hard to believe. Especially since the "voice" is also featured at the airport in Orlando. That's been the Monorail "voice" for a very long time. I don't know why they would have changed it. Has anybody else heard this?

I don't think this is true anymore I think one of them changed the person they use for speiling on the monorails. however I was on monorail yellow that has a new control mod, and all automated speils and it was they same guy as on the monorails for as long as I can remember speiling the new safety messages. |

My friend told me....as well as a Disney Vacation Travel reservationist that the gentleman who was the voice of the monorail had died. They both told me that they no longer do recording in spanish either.

Awwwweee... I liked the voice. Why aren't they recording it in Spanish anymore and what new safety messages are they adding?

DW and I were on the monorails last Wednesday and it was the same old voice. I honestly don't remember hearing the Spanish announcement, but that easily could be because I really wasn't paying much attention.

Yeah, I noticed last in February that the Epcot monorail seemed to be having a lot of problems. We waited 15 minutes for safety or security clearence and then on my way back the monorail broke down.

Just rode the monorail last night, and the voice was the same, loud and clear! And in fact, if you go to a souvenir store at any of the parks, you can buy a 4" plastic monorail car that has a button you can push and hear the whole recording any time you want!!!!
