Last year, I took my family and it was our daughter's first trip to WDW. That said, her older brother was only 3 1/2 when he went, so he only remembered a few things.

So, of course that meant going to MK on our first morning.

My wife and I had never seen the MK opening ceremony. In fact, we didn't even know that it happened. So that made the day magical already.

Then, right after we got our picture taken in front of the castle, a CM asked us to be grand marshalls of the parade!

Later, right before the parade, my daughter got decked by an out-of-control 3 year old with a melting chocolate covered ice-cream pop, so of course we had to buy her a Minnie Mouse dress for the parade. ;) The CM sent her dirty clothes back to the room, which was very cool.

Then, as we were getting ready for the parade, one of the drummers from the visiting band let my son wear his snare drum and we got a picture of him with the drum.

During the parade, when we waved at the little kids watching, they acted like we were someone important! SO MUCH FUN! :)

Now THAT'S Disney Magic!

I realize Disney was Magic when I first got there... seeing the Castle and receiving a very sweet welcome by Mickey was the best...

You will never believe I did cry when I first watched the "Share a Dream come True" parade... I was like a little 5 year old kid... I was thinking to myself "Im 23!!!" the very magic moment came when the Fairy Godmother looked at me and blew a kiss... OMG!!! I couldnt stop crying for 2 hours...

you get through the bagcheck .. you get through the turn stiles ..pass under the WDW Railroad Station .. and there .. at the end of Main Street USA .. the castle welcomes you back to the magic!!

Something else Disney, ..every time you see big black round Ears .. you just have to smile !!!!

:D On my DD's first trip (she was 9) she was asked to drop the rope at the opening of tomorrow land. The CM was really nice chatted with her, explained what he wanted her to do, let us take pictures the whole nine yards. Time came and she waved a checkered flag as he dropped the rope and a crowd rushed down the walk toward Alien Encounter. For her participation she recieved a pass to jump to the head of the line on any ride of her choice once. This was long before fast pass was even thought of.

She insisted on Alien Encounter, we tried to convince her otherwise, she was still afraid of the dark and had never seen a scifi movie, but she insisted and so as not to cause a scene we agreed.

Once inside I could tell she was nervous. When the harness came down over her shoulder she grapped my hand and when the lights went out she began to scream and continued until we were out of there.:nervous :dazed :nooo:

When we began planning for our upcomming trip her first comment was "I'm not getting on that ride you know the one that beginns with A...." she doesn't even like to say Alien. So I told her it was closed and being replaced with Stich. "Mickey finally realized it wasn't funny, it's about time"

All I can think about Disney right now, is getting up early (as you & I do) . Go down to the Pepper Market to get our coffee, fruit and a bagel, and head for the pool. Then Dad, eventually gets there has his coffee, we all just sit and relax soaking up some of that beautiful Florida sun. Then, head for the Parks!!!!! Just think we will be there before we know it!!! :) Love, Mom

Yesterday, my DH and DD and I went out for dinner. After, my DD and I walked to a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins which was close by. My DH went to get the car and would drive over and meet us. My DD and I got some ice cream. We left the store to eat it on the way home. As we got in the car, which DH drove over and parked right infront of the store, my DD announced to him "DAD, you are not allowed to park here, this space is for CAST MEMBERS ONLY!!" The sign really said, Parking reserved for Dunkin Donuts Employees only! She truly thought it was a sign for CAST MEMBERS! We all started to laugh. On the way home, she still thought it was for CMs. My DD takes after me already with her LOVE FOR WDW!
