Mr Potato Head

I heard through somewhere that a great souvenir was to buy special disney arms hats etc for Mr. Potato Head. Does anyone know where these can be purchased or how much they are?? Thanks!

I saw them in the gift shop at the Pop Century last month .. I think they also can be found at MGM / Disney Studios and the World Of Disney Store at DTS

Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney. They have all sorts of Disney Mr. Potato Head parts. You buy a box, fill it up with as much stuff as you can. Make sure you stuff in the potato though, you can get quite a bit of stuff in that box.

Re: Mr Potato Head

We happened upon these at the grand opening of Once Upon a Toy a few years ago. To fill the box was $12. The last time we were there, it was $16 to fill a box. They also have a premade kit that has some of the Disney specific fixin's for $20. I think there was also a "Potato bar" at Mousegear in Epcot. I'm almost embarassed to admit that Potato fixin's are the main reason we scheduled Downtown Disney into our October trip. They are so cool!!! I will be filling a box with the new fixin's only this time as I already have the potato. It's amazing what all you can get in there. Don't forget to open the...um...trap door (?) on your potato's backside and fill the inside as well. The CMs at OUAT told us to do it!!

Re: Mr Potato Head

my little brer Rabbit has one and it is the favorite toy of all the friends who come over our house. They change out the potato head and sit and laugh at what Disney vacation things they can make him do. My mom is shopping at yard sale to come up with some more potato bodies, so everyone can have a good time with potato at the same time.

Also in the Once upon a toy store in Downtown Disney you can print out an example potato head then buy the pieces to match your photo. Pretty neat.

Re: Mr Potato Head

My DD got one at the BIG shop in Epcot. The man who was "stationed" there was VERY helpful and showed her how to get as many parts in the box as possible.

No, I don't think you have to buy the potato. My sister came back with a big box of the "fixins". She actually bought doubles of all the Disney parts for my DS's and her DD. There's no way she could have also fit a potato in with all that stuff! Besides, our kids already have the potatoes.

Re: Mr Potato Head

We didn't get Guest of Honor badges for our potatoes. Do they keep adding new Disney pieces? If so, we'll definitely have to check that out to add to our set!

Re: Mr Potato Head

Someone once told me to bring a Mr. Potato from home....then when in DW just buy the accessories.....that way the children could play with their Mr.Potatoe Heads in the hotel. Can any of you confirm that the potatoes are the same size so that the pieces are universal? I think they are adorable and I keep passing them up. My next trip I am going to have to get some accessories!

Re: Mr Potato Head

My DD loves Mr. Potato Head. We have multiple MPH bought from different stores at different times. All of the Disney MPH pieces fit . So I would say it is a safe bet that they are universal.
