Earlier this year when we were at WDW we were told by a cast member about the trading nights at the Contemporary and that there was trading for the kids also. We did not know until we got there that our 4 yr old DS was too young. We were told he couldn't participate at first because the ages were 6 - 14. They allowed him in after hearing that a cast member had told us to bring him there. We were complimented on his trading and behavior. He understood completely and actually made a couple very good trades. I'v heard there's even special lanyards on some cast members just for kids to trade with. I think it's great that they have special events & lanyards just for the kids. Our DS has been trading for 2 years now and loves it. I think that 6 may be a little high for a starting age.
