A complete rumor, but oh if it is true!!!
Has anyone else heard this??? I heard today that Disney has bought 800 acres in Mcdonough, Ga (just outside of Atlanta) and is going to build its largest theme park there. I have no idea if this source was reliable or not, but it is interesting that Disney would pick there to build a theme park!!!! Oh, and about it being the largest- I have no idea, but I sort of doubt this part! Has anyone else heard this???

Haven't heard that one, but I think it may be a false rumor. I can't see them putting a park that close to WDW..,wouldn't make any sense business wise at all.

I know a few years ago everyone was excited about disney opening a park near Philadelphia or in Virginia. Nothing ever came of it though because of the cold winter weather up here, it would only be able to be open spring thru fall. Georgia would be great.

Georgia would be nice....a bit cooler than Orlando in the summer. And it would make it nice to go see a Braves game too...tee hee....Spring Training WDW and regular season at the new park......

if they were going to build a park in GA, then what would happen to WDW? would they lose their park attendance and business if a park was built in GA? i haven't heard of this rumor yet. i think it's rubbish though. why build a theme park so close to another theme park, you know?

Mmmm...I've heard the rumor about a possible park in Texas, but never Georgia. I also agree with the others that say it would make no sense to have a park so close to WDW. Maybe further North would make sense, but there's hardly the weather for a park anywhere up North...
P.S. Hi from Innoventions in Disneyland!  For some odd reason, this is one of the pages accessible from their computers. You can't really get anywhere else, but maybe this is accessible because it has "Disney" in it?? I dunno.

Not that this is the same thing but, when we were in WDW last Sept. the tram guy that talks to you told us that WDW had enough property left to build 4 more parks on it. wouldn't that be AWESOME!!!!! then I would be living there for sure!!!! 14 day vacations wooohooo!!!!

I'm with you, dsnygrl! I have always wanted to move to FLA. from chilly PA, but I am waiting until all 3 DDs are out of school. Since my youngest is only 5, I have a while to wait.

I'm with you karliebug! I would LOVE to live in Florida and my 2 DD are hoping to move into Cinderella's castle. Even though I was born and raised in Michigan, I am getting REALLLY sick of the cold and almost non-existant summer!
