Re: Toy Story 3

Wow, wonder how that will turn out and if they will try and steal some of Pixar's employees to get the movie accomplished. Should be real interesting.

Re: Toy Story 3

I heard one news report that Disney is setting a new CA studio just a few miles from Pixar and will be looking to recruit animators from "other" studios (re: Pixar).

Re: Toy Story 3

As much as I loved both Toy Story movies, I feel the same way about it being weird if it's not Pixar. Kind of makes me think of that awful sequel they made to Rudolph using computer generated graphics instead of those cute little dolls. YUCK!!

Re: Toy Story 3

I agree. Without Pixar, it doesnt feel right. I wish they would work out their problems. They are obviously a good team (especially when you look at the numbers)

I will also say...Michael Eisner and who ever else supported ending that contract/deal with Pixar are idiots...I will never forgive them unless they fix what they destructed!!!

Re: Toy Story 3

Here's my view:I agree with Baloo85. With the Animation studios gone as well as Pixar, Disney now has to do mostly live action movies. Nonetheless, I am fairly excited about the new movie, though Pixar does not do it, because i am excited to see what they will think up on what the toys will do. I have a lot of ideas for a new movie, but I'm a little to young to work with Pixar. Oh, well

I hope its better than the second one. I LOVED the first one but I didn't like the second one too much. It was a little too...boring for me

Re: Toy Story 3

I have had mixed feelings about this from the beginning, but overall I am excited. As much as there is a part of me afraid that Disney will drown painfully without Pixar, I have faith in them...I think they know that they have been on a losing streak lately (hey, the numbers--or lackthereof--speak louder than words!) So I have faith that Disney is going to do their absolute BEST on both these Toy Story sequels, as well as the Pirates sequels. I think they know these are their only chances for redemption at the moment.

And hey...they know that bringing in "others" (Pixar employees) is part of the game. If they need 'em, they'll reel 'em in. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Re: Toy Story 3

If they start with good stories, the animation will be fine. Here's hoping that they get Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, and also John Ratzenberger for the voices.
