Upcoming Disney/Pixar film "Cars?"

I just noticed something about this on the Visions Fantastic site, when I was linking to the Autopia page on another thread.

http://www.visionsfantastic.com/visi...m/autopia.html

I thought that the Incredibles was the last Disney/Pixar film? Does anyone have any more info on this? Did they kiss and make up?

No, kissy kissy.

Cars is the last film on the contract.

Rumors have buzzed on this board that it may be Pixar's first stink-o!

And Disney continues the go ahead to produce their own Toy Story sequels (which I predict will pale to the first two).

I agree on Toy Story, but not totally on Cars...I always have my doubts with every movie, but Pixar just has been perfect before. They are a fun company and have great ideas...I mean look at the winner of the animated film at the oscars!

O and I heard somewhere that when Eisner leaves the company, there may be a chance or a window of opportunity to try and save the disney/pixar bond. Let's hope so...Pixar is the best thing that has happened to disney since the Jungle Cruise. hehehe

Re: Upcoming Disney/Pixar film "Cars?"

Ditto Baloo... I'm beginning to think we are long lost relatives or something.

Anyway... I have thought Nemo and Incredibles teasers both looked very bad only to find I liked each of them waay more than expected. I have high confidence in Cars as well. Even if it's only a Bugs Life quality it will be great. Every movie can't top the next, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad movie.

You could say Pixar wasn't as into making this movie for Disney since they were pressured and propably irritated a bit, but their name and company are on the line with this movie. I am sure they gave it their all and that usually equals success.

By the Way... Cars overlay on the Speedway or Autopia would Rock. Could you imagine cars that talk to one another when driving by?

Well, I did see the Cars trailer and it doesn't exactly look like Pixar's best. I wonder if John Ratzenberger will be in it. Considering his voice has been in every Pixar movie so far, it's most likely. Don't get me wrong Baloo85, I have high hopes for the film. Approximately 110% of the time I assume, I'm wrong. I think it's just the trailer that makes it look bad.

I wasn't offering my opinion. It's in the rumor mill that some Pixar insiders aren't happy with it and the concept is flawed from the start.

Just spreading rumors, mind you.

Re: Upcoming Disney/Pixar film "Cars?"

Well, I hadn't heard of this cars show till just now. What's it about?

Anyone ever noticed that every Pixar movie is from something elses point of view compared to humans. The Toy's point of view. The bugs point of view. The Fishes point of view. The monsters point of view. (I never saw the incredibles, so I'm not to sure on what the story is) And I'm assuming the "Cars" movie will be a Cars point of view. Pixar is VERY creative, as is Disney. They are such a good pair. They make a movie about what a simple ant's view on the world is, or how a toy comes alive while your not in your room. So simple. and they make BIG BUCKS!! It's sad that Disney and Pixar's "breaking the bridge".

That's the complaint. There are no people in cars. It's animated automotives. Critics say it's too far out--comparing it to lesser CG film producers.

It does look a little iffy to me, but I thought the same thing about Finding Nemo, so I hope I'm wrong :D
