Shrinking Platters
My family and I noticed a while ago that the size of the meals of chicken and fries were shrinking.
We tried moving from Columbia Harbour House to the Plaza restaurant at MK, but the size was still smaller than it used to be. What happened? ![]() |

Re: Shrinking Platters
I think they are getting more health concious maybe. I don't like my plates too full so to me it would be ok not to have to throw away good food.

Re: Shrinking Platters
I haven't been to WDW since July but I didn't notice smaller servings then. I wouldn't mind if I got a smaller meal, I hate to waste food and the servings at WDW are huge.

Re: Shrinking Platters
It seems to me like everywhere you go the portions are smaller.

Re: Shrinking Platters
Hmmm, haven't noticed this. I'm assuming they're still charging the same amount...

Re: Shrinking Platters
Do they still serve the clam chowder in a bread bowl at Columbia Harbor House? That's one of my favorite Disney World foods.
I could never finish my table service meals, and has always shared. So since I'm going solo, I don't think I'd mind smaller portions.

Re: Shrinking Platters
Well, keep in mind that this occurred, well, a couple of years ago.
I just signed on in Febuary, so, you know.

Re: Shrinking Platters
I haven't noticed any change over the last several years. But we usually eat at the buffets. I agree about servings allready being too big. The normal healthy person should eat in a full day what they serve in one meal at WDW. When we eat counter service, my wife and I usually share meals and so do the kids.
