Tarzan Rocks closing

Hey guys, this is something I've heard from the friend of a friend (I know, what a great way to begin a rumor post! lol ) that works at the Tarzan Rocks show at the AK. Apparently the ride is closing this January and is being exported to the Disneyland Hong Kong Resort. The reason I was given for the closing is becuase the theater is open-air and with Expedition Everest being so close to it, the noise from the coaster will interfere with the show.
Supposively the theater is to be enclosed and a Finding Nemo show is to replace it. Take the last bit with a grain of salt becuase that has been a rumor heard by CM's.
So if you want to see Tarzan Rocks next year, buy a ticket to Hong Kong!

We had discussed this a few months ago - about it closing. I don't remember which forum.

Why won't the noise from the coaster interrupt the Finding Nemo show? Are you sure it's not the other way around - the show will interrupt the coaster? Tarzan Rocks was a rather loud show...

(We really liked it, btw...)

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

They are really far apart.... but I love Tarzan Rocks....and I can not imagine that a finding Nemo could possibly be as good as Tarzan Rocks.... I really hate to hear this.... every trip that we make to AK we make sure we see Tarzan Rocks....It is well worth the time...

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

I had heard that they were going to revive the JUngle Book stage show in Tarzan Rocks. I just hope that it gets something and doesnt end up like 2,000 leagues under the sea.

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

I just read this on All Ears web site:

Tarzan Rocks! to Close in Early 2006!

The Theater in the Wild, in Animal Kingdom's Dinoland USA, will be fully enclosed in early 2006. Tarzan Rocks!, the 7-year-old old stage show that is performed in the theater, will subsequently close so that this refurbishment can be implemented. An exact closing date for Tarzan Rocks! has not been established. When the Theater in the Wild reopens, a new stage show will debut in the renovated location.

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

Tarzan Rocks was just "okay" for me. The rollerbladers flying around we're really cool and unique though. I guess it's just time for a change.
Although, I will miss Tarzan. He was extra shiney....teehee

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

We saw this show for the first time last Dec. and both really enjoyed. I will be sorry to see it go, but a Finding Nemo show sounds great!

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

Never been a big fan of Tarzan Rocks. We tried it twice and walked out of it twice. I'll look forward to a Finding Nemo show.

Re: Tarzan Rocks closing

I've heard so many bad things about Tarzan Rocks, and the rumor of it closing has been around for about 6 months. I can't imagine a Finding Nemo show going there..... Thats just weird. How about a Jungle Book show?!
