Icon5 Free Dining Plan in January???

Anyone heard any rumors or hints that might suggest the free dining plan will be offered in January?

I guess what I'm getting at is would we have heard something by now if it was going to be offered again?

Re: Free Dining Plan in January???

We are waiting to book just for this reason. With the high price of gas, I am hoping that Disney will offer this again for the exact same reasons as you.

I would imagine that if we have not seen it by the end of October, we are out of luck.

Every time I come here, or get an e-mail update from Mousesavers, I hold my breath *and hope* there is some info.
For now I have a room only.

From our mouths to Disney exec's ears!
I already found $49 flights before the gas wars hit, so that would make my trip!

I know what you mean. Even if I paid for the dining plan, I can work it into my budget. But at current gas prices, it would cost me $489 to drive to WDW. If gas goes up to $3.50, it will cost $555!!!!!

Flying is not an option, since our budget figures using the pop-up camper, and any savings in flying would be lost in higher room rates.

Re: Free Dining Plan in January???

Cavey, the news is reporting a break in gas prices...maybe there will be enough of a break in January, that you would be able to do it.

Re: Free Dining Plan in January???

Well, here's hoping for the free dining plan. If it's offered. Lil' and I can budget a 14 day trip to Fort Wilderness, with ten day hopper tickets. The plan would be to do a park, and then take a day of relaxing around FW.

It would be wonderful not being rushed to do everything in 5 days.

We're looking at the end of January--trying to break up the winter doledrums.

Re: Free Dining Plan in January???

Just booked my rooms/meal plan today, hoping to hear some price break news soon! Anyone else going 1/14-1/21 (we do it because the kids have off on Mon for Martin Luthor day, so only have to miss 4 days of school.)
