Re: Wilma damage?
Not really. They opened the MK and Epcot at about 12:30 the day Wilma hit. I spent Monday evening at the Magic Kingdom and didn't notice any damage on the ride in or while inside the park. Here in Orlando we were pretty lucky with only getting 5 inches of rain and some hurricane force gusts. All of South Florida got hit hard though.

Re: Wilma damage?
Where I live in Coconut Creek, (Broward County) there was extensive damage to the line poles that carry electric and cable. The poles just snapped off in the high winds. We were lucky we have power now and phones. each day it gets better here. Just be careful of the major interections. No stop lights. If i can figure it out I will post some pictures.

Re: Wilma damage?
I am so glad that Wilma chilled out before she hit... But I am sorry for the damage she still managed to do!

Re: Wilma damage?
We rode out Wilma at the Poly. It wasn't too bad up there, not any damage that I saw. There was more from Charley still visable. Must have been the worst vacation of my life. We arrived on the 19th. Weather Channel was on almost constantly. High anxiety! Kept checking the official info from the Hurricane Center. Don't focus on the line my butt! All week the track was just under Lake Okeechobee, never deviated more than 20 miles. Stupid storm roared right over my house in Coral Springs, right on the line! We just got our power back at 1:30 this morning (was I shocked). Lost most of the trees here, all of the leaves. But my only real damage was about 10 ripped screen panels and the screen door of the pool enclosure. Got ripped off for an extra $.40 a gallon for gas. I was lucky, we stopped in Kissimee at Wal-Mart, Publix, and the bank for survial stuff. Been camping out all week, yea.

Re: Wilma damage?
Good grief, Soundgod! Sorry you have been having such a hard time! I cannot imagine going without power for so long... And to lose the trees. Best of luck getting your life back to normal.
