It costs more to operate this one section of the park, than the revenue it brings in. Its closure will allow us to prop up other others of Walt Disney World property that are more in demand.”

The news received mixed reaction from guests visiting the Magic Kingdom this morning. “I think it’s a tragic shame,” said Ohio visitor Jim Seals, coming off the Space Mountain roller coaster ride in Tomorrow-land. “Walt Disney must be rolling in his grave.”

On the other side of the park, New Jersey native Dana Kidd saw things differently, “I’m not a huge Disney fan. Sure it’s a nice family vacation, but with ticket prices so high, I appreciate them trying to keep the price down. There’s not much to really do over in that part of the park anyway.”
The Walt Disney Company operates 10 amusement parks world wide, including four in the Orlando area. The closure is said not to affect the other parks. Tomorrow-land’s last day of operation will be April 1.

Well, I’m off to a writer’s conference and won’t be here the rest of the weekend to talk about it. What a rotten way to start April Fools

that is not closing an attraction its a whole branch of the stinking park! UNREAL! I mean that there is a lot of upgrading that needs to be done but that is where buzz is and space mountain - you have to be kidding me! That is some wild news!

But that was only because I hovered over the title on the topic listing, and saw the April Fool's thing. Had I not seen that... I probably wouldn't be saying anything.
