VISA card blues....

I haven't even used my new card and I am already having problems.

OK, so I applied for my first card through Disney, online and got my Day 1 status and it read "Charter Cardmember".

Then I found out that you could order through DVC and get that designation. Well, I called customer service and they gave me a number to call and a DVC code to give them and that would be that.

Well, my SECOND card came in, same name, lower limits, and now did not have the Day 1 designation and did read DVC.

Now I want to combine the two cards to have the Day 1 status, and read DVC.

I was told over the weekend that if I applied over the phone for the DVC card that I could not get the Day 1 status, even though it is within the correct time period. The only way to get the Day 1 status over the phone application, is to leave a message and they would have to call back, then I could get the Day 1. My understanding is that the only difference between the two, Charter vs. DVC, is the promotions presented to the card holder.

I may just have to live with the Charter desgination and forget how proud I am of being a DVC member. It does seem a little "odd" that the credit card reps do not explain this to you so that you don't have to go to the lengths that I have chosen to go through.

This has really been a nightmare!

Well, that just stinks! :madmad It is terrible when you get poor customer service and inadequate information. :devil Good luck on your situation. I am sure you will get it worked out; don't let it drive you crazy. :dazed :)

Welcome to Bank One!!!!!
I had trouble with these guys long before you and that the only reason I won't be getting my Visa Disney Card. I mad that Disney went this way anyway. They should have kept the Disney Club card, but they are looking at the bottom line.

Disneycouple 30, I have to agree with you , I will miss the Disney Club Card. But , I do have to say it seems Disney has a real winner putting out the new Visa Card!!!!!
Also, it's funny you should mention about trouble with Bank One. For some reason my Dh's not one of there biggest fans. But of course being such Disney Nuts, we're waiting for ours to arrive. They say it's on the way, but don't know what route it took, so still waiting!!!:nervous JOANN
