You have to purchase a standard Magic Your Way package. Which means, rack rates for rooms (no discount codes) and at least a one-day ticket for each member of your party. The dining portion of the package is added for free!

I believe, in the past, your stay had to be for at least three nights.

We almost always visit WDW in the fall and yes we do take our kids out of school. One is in HS, the other now in middle school. They are great kids & good students (A/B average) and they deserve to enjoy their childhood and have memories to reflect back on.

Our school does consider vacation an "unexcused" absence but we always let the teacher know about 2 weeks ahead of time and they are quite good about it. And of course the kids know that they have to make up the work they miss.

They won't be kids forever so enjoy it now.

I have heard on a lot of boards that the free dining this year will cut out the value resorts. Only those who book at mods & deluxes will be able to take part.

I think that was the free dining package that UK residents were offered for the dates Aug10-Sept27. I believe that the bounceback offer for Aug30-Sept27 included all resort categories, and if the current buzz is true and free dining becomes available to book (Apr 7 for Disney Visa holders and Apr 10 for the general public) it will probably be for the dates of Aug30-Sept27 at all resort categories subject to availability. It won't be long now before we find out for sure. Good luck everyone!

The only bummer for us is that FW is not part of the free dining plan. It's OK though, it gives us a reason to stay somewhere different.

What is included, the Basic Dining Plan? I already booked for them and we bought the Deluxe? Does it make a difference now anyway? So confused . . .

If they offer free dinning I think I can con my wife into going. I even keep throwing in that the kids a almost grown up and we need to enjoy it now with them. I never thought I would use my kids as an excuse for disney.

The basic plan is 1 table service, 1 counter service and a snack.

Touringplans is now stating that free dining will be offered to Disney Visa card holders on April 7th. They're guessing that it should open up to the general public on the 10th. No more details yet.
