Re: Free Dining 2008?

okay........... I have Oct 11-18 scheduled right now. Figured it would be about 500-600 cheaper and spend an additional night if I went in September and had free dining. Maybe I'll go in September instead? Opinions?

Re: Free Dining 2008?

I'll be changing my reservation from 8/9-8/15 to 8/30-9/5 on Thursday! I'm busy trying to get my ADRs together. Jhayes, what ADRs did you get? Did you find that there were any that you couldn't get?

Re: Free Dining 2008?

We are going to WL from the 25th-30th and i couldn't get Lecelliar for the 26th. But thats ok because we are going to MNSSHP on the 30th so i had my TA move everything up a day and now we will be at Liberty Tree on the 30th at 4:30, which is perfect. If a place is booked during a regular week, I'm sure as free dining announced and booked, it will be very hard to get something...book now..change later! (hopefully)
25th~WC at WL
26th~50's Prime Time
27th~Chef Mickey
28th~Beirgarten
29th~Ohana
30th~Liberty Tree then MNSSHP
All of mine are evening times, you may have better luck if you want to be more flexable ( I wanted all dinners with my Dining Plan *sit down*)

Re: Free Dining 2008?

I just had to share my news with you all...I am so excited, I have been doing a little happy dance around my spare room.

I got through to a CM basically at opening time, and got to add free dining to my booking!!!

The only thing was that I had to change to a standard room - (I had paid for a preferred) - so now they are going to credit my cc $122.00!!! - gee the sacrifices we have to make!!!!

So now, my food on my ADR's (already made) will taste even sweeter!

Good luck to anyone else trying to get through!!!

Thats strange. I was booked for a standard view at the WL and they made me upgrade to woods view in order to qualify for the free dining. I really did not want to but it still saved me money in the long run.

I wonder what their criteria are for which rooms have free dining.

Re: Free Dining 2008?

Did my ADRs today...I'm old-I can remember when you could only book 90 days out so I'm glad I read the boards. Two of them weren't at all hard to get, but Le Cellier could only fit us if we split our group of 7 into 2 tables - and only for lunch (fine with us...) So get booking! (I only do 3 because we eat at off hours and have never had troble getting the Rose & Crown!)

Re: Free Dining 2008?

At last, the news I was hoping for....

.....guess it figures that DH is going to be starting his new school year in August instead of September this year huh? After all that waiting and hoping, free dining might be a moot point for us anyway.

I have a huge doubt, is free dining only for moderate and deluxe resorts? or also in the value resorts is included?
Thanks!

Re: Free Dining 2008?

I signed up for the value resort and got free dining - I also upgraded to the Deluxe - makes sense - you get break/lunch/dinner - our first trip to Disney as a family we did the basic dining plan and spent about $25 - $30 to eat one of our meals each day - my daughter was small at the time and we should shared more - and saved some money - but we went in March and did the Deluxe dining - it was so worth it. We ate at some great places and were thrilled that we didn't have to shell out $100 for each dinner. All of the features that are included - like three table meals - makes it totally worth it for us. Family of 3 - (6)nights (7) days for $1670 with the deluxe plan.

All Star Music Resort

Have a great time!

Re: Free Dining 2008?

Kim,

how much extra did you have to put in to upgrade to get the Deluxe free dining? We have the free dining for september already booked, but i'm curious how much extra it would cost to upgrade?

Thanks!
