Does anyone know if there will be free dining in Sept 2008? Just want to start thinking about a poss trip.

isnt there two different prices of dining plan now or didnt it go thru?. I think one gives you the usual one counter service , one sit down and one snack without the appy and tip ??? the other cost more and give you I think three sit down and I think a snack. then there is a wine add on to both of them for extra money. I beleive there was a thread on this awhile back. am I wrong? [ fantasy sometimes sneaks in lol }

I saw that 3-meal dining plan available when I was pricing trips online. Wow, I can't imagine eating that much in a day at WDW! That would be overwhelming, not to mention on top of running around the parks...whew. Not for me!

let's hope it will be the same time as last year, if at all. stu and i feel that it would be a fantastic deal for us to do WDW during free dining. Even if we can only do a 4 or 5 day trip. only thing is, anyone remember how far in advance they annouced the free dining this year? Our trips need to be planned well in advance so we can save for them.

I need to know this info too. We are thinking about sept 6- 14. I will have to take the kids out of school Does anyone think that might be a problem. I have a senior in high school , one that will start middle school and I have one that will be in 3rd grade.

it wasn't available/announced until 1st of april last year.

i'm pricing trips for 2009 - i can't get over how great a deal free dining was last year. maybe i can convince DH to go this fall (and 2009, hahaha) if it's available again.

To be honest I never worry about the whole taking my kids out of school. I figure they are only kids once. I have a 4th grader and 1st grader.. Will be 5th and 2nd on next trip. I was thinking about end of Aug but I rather wait till end of Sept

I think it's all about how you feel about taking your kids out of school. Our kids are missing 5 days of school in Feb. and I know it will be hardest on Nick who is a Junior. That's why if we take a trip next year during free dining, we'll have to work it that he misses the least amount of school.

It does get harder as they get older, but for your middle school and 3rd grader, it shouldn't be too bad.

We have booked free dining in 2008 after getting a bounceback offer we received at WL over Labor Day weekend this year. The first day of free dining according to the CM will be August 30th, 2008. Of course, they couldn't say whether it will be available again (but I would bet that it will).
The kids and I will miss 1 day of school. That's the most that I am comfortable with.

(Honestly, there are few HS students that can teach themselves what they miss in a week). You have to decide what you are comfortable with. This has been the subject of many a thread here on MB...
