Sure doesn't sound fair to the Seasonal or 10 day ticket holders. Why not offer the dining plan to everyone?

I think you're right. I've been trying to play around with plans for next year so we can decide if we want to go in January or August, and I keep getting the little message on the Disney website that packages for 2009 aren't available yet.

I just saw this, and this may kill vacation plans depending on the rate increase.

Let me put it this way. If I did buy 10-day no expire tickets today--or whatever, I will still have to spend close to $400 on single day tickets to get the meal plan.

I guess, I'll wait until next week to see what they raise the prices to. I have a conference to go to regardless, but that doesn't mean I have to do a family vacation there.

And, no, I can't book the entire vacation yet.

They are raising the prices on everything. We will be going in January, but if it keeps up DH says we may have to go every other year instead of every year. Two years in between trips. What s a girl to do??? :(

Its hard enough being shut out of Red Sox games due to the high prices at Fenway.... I hope it never gets so bad that we can't come back to DISNEY! YIKES!!!

What about people who are Disney Visa Card Holders? Can they do the dining plan? I would like to know even though we probably will not be doing one as we will probably be taking our RV down there to Ft. Wilderness. But, I would still like to know.

Anyone can do the dining plan WITH a package stay that requires a minimum of 1 day tickets.

So you could book a room for 10 days and get 10 days on the DP, but you have to buy at least a one-day ticket.

Disney theme park ticket prices to rise

LOS ANGELES (AP) — As if rising gas and food prices weren't enough, a ticket to the Magic Kingdom will soon cost a few bucks more.

The Walt Disney Co. said Friday it is raising one-day ticket prices at its domestic parks starting Sunday.

Tickets for those aged 10 and older to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., will rise from $71 to $75, while tickets for children aged 3 to 9 will go from $60 to $63.

At Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., one-day prices will rise from $66 to $69 for those aged 10 and older, and from $56 to $59 for children aged 3 to 9.

The price increase applies in varying degrees for longer stays, while the park hopper option, an add-on that allows ticket-holders to move among any of Disney's parks, will cost $50, up from $45.

Does anyone know how much they actually went up last time? DIL's are waiting to see if they can actually get the time off to go with us this holiday season and I was wondering if the tickets went up a lot last time!
