Visa card holders are usually the ones who get the offer first. The time frame to get it for this year has passed, but next year start looking for offers in early April I think.

Also FYI, FW is not included in the free dining plan. You have to stay at a value or higher. You should have seen people look at us when we pulled into Pop last year with truck, RV, and everything.

We will be doing the same thing again this year. Fortunately, Pop has a really big parking lot and we park way in the back as to not block too many spaces.

Thank you for the info. It's too bad WDW puts stipulations on their DP. Oh, well. We still like Ft. Wilderness & WDW!

Re: Ticket prices going up.

I was going to get an AP for a room discount and to get dining plan, but last year the general public codes were just as good as an AP discount and now they will only let you get 1 room with an AP instead of 3 rooms last year. We need 2 rooms so we'd have to get 2 AP's. If I buy our tickets today, We'll save about $200 but can't get dining plan which we don't even know for sure what it will be priced at! What to do,what to do????

Thanks again!
Yes, we did go ahead and buy our APs on Wed instead of Sun after the ticket increase thanks to reading about it here. We also went ahead and got the tickets for our kids for our trip next year. I guess we are now "committed" to another WDW trip next summer before our APs run out...oh, darn!

The CM at Guest Services was very nice, and when we mentioned the upcoming ticket price rise, he simply stated "officially, we haven't heard anything, but we are the last to know. The last time they raised the prices, they only told us the morning the new prices went into effect. The only people I've heard about it so far are a few guests like you." I thought this was interesting. As much as they seem to keep the CMs in the know on some things, it is really weird they keep them in the dark on others.

Re: Ticket prices going up.

Ok, so I guess everyone has seen that the new prices are out for 2009! I must say I had stressed myself out a little bit thinking it was going to go up so much that it would blow the budget, but I'm happy to say that it wasn't that bad for us. In planning, I used 2008 prices and added some for the increase I knew would come. Luckily, it wasn't too bad for me. How did everyone else do???

Also, I noticed a new (or new to me) dining plan- Quick service dining plan. It includes 2 quick service meals and no table service. Don't know if we'll take advantage of it, but it seems like a neat option for people who don't eat the table service meals.

I agree, I like the idea of having a nice meal, but scheduling it and taking time from other things doesn't interest me, so maybe the Quick service plan would.
