I'm really 'blah' about the InBev take-over of Anheuser-Busch, I don't like our hearty American institutions being purchased by 'Stella Artois' peeps. I love 'em but go buy Carlsburg or something. Leave our Clydesdale horses alone. [raising my fist at the Anheuser-Busch board members.. blarggghhh]

Aye, anyway, even though InBev swares they will keep headquarters in St. Louis and not close any of our US breweries I guess they are selling off the A-B theme parks. Obviously I'd be TOTALLY cool with Disney buying Sea World, WOW, think of the possibilities. So long as none of these parks end up being sold to Candover (owners of Parques Reunidos) I guess I'll be happy.

My husband and I spent last week in Gulf Shores, AL and decided to take a side trip to Jacksonville to visit the Bud brewery that they have there. We took a tour and never once did they mention of them being bought by Inbev. I thought that was interesting.

We love Sea World- especially for their Beer School. They do a beer pairing almost like a wine pairing would be. It was a lot of fun and pretty much the reason we would go to Sea World. I wonder how much longer this will last.

I think it would be great for Disney to buy it. Disney has a way of running theme parks. SeaWorld is run pretty well, but Universal has a lot to learn still. I welcome the purchase- it will be interesting to see what will come of it.

We used to love to go to Sea World when it was here in Ohio (yes, they had a park here until about 10 years ago!). I would love to see WDW take over the parks. I always wish I could spend a day there, but always feel like I would be missing the wonderfulness of WDW properties. You do get spoiled! Maybe I will finally have a chance to visit Sea World if Disney buys them. At least I would know what level of service to expect. I find I always end up comparing other parks to WDW and they always fall short!

I love Sea World just as it is- I just echo a previous post that if anyone has to buy it then Disney would be first choice but I'd rather no one bought it and it stayed as it is.

Interesting if the parks were sold to Disney as a group. See, our other favorite vacation spot is Williamsburg, VA where there is another Busch park. If that became a Disney park too . . .

Actually, I always thought that the Ohio park was a much better value for the money. It was cheaper than the others, but had pretty much the same attractions and atmosphere (except cooler temps). We miss it.
