I would be heart broken of it was true. I can remember going on as a kid. DH and I aren't thrill seekers...........suits us just fine!

I've heard this COP closing rumor for a long time. I'm sure it's going to happen eventually, as it never really draws a crowd, but I'm hoping the rumor will draw out a little longer without any action..... I love COP.

I was just at Universal a few weeks ago...Harry Potter opens next year.

Yep! When I was talking to Valerie later at City Hall in MK, I mentioned it to her . . . and she said she didn't think it will happen since Disney is a more "Family Friendly" park, and they wouldn't do something that wouldn't appeal to all.

Yes we hear that rumour every trip and therefore are always surprised its 'still open'!! we always enjoy it, we know its a little corny and old fashioned but thats its charm, and anyway its fun having that song in your head all day ....."there's a great big beautiful tomorrow..........."

Oh I agree wholeheartedly, Dixie, those are things that make the attraction so charming. We wouldn't miss it!

This rumor has been going on for so long. I wrote to Disney about it a couple of years ago when it first surfaced, and they were nice enough to call me in person to assure me it was still only a rumor. I agree that it probably will get moved/closed someday, but for now CoP is still hanging in there.

For anyone else (like me!) who loves the attraction and wants to see it stick around, the best thing you can do is give it your patronage! Disney pays attention to "numbers", so the more people who visit the attraction in a given day, the better chance of it sticking around for a long time.

I have to see it. It's so nice to have something from the "old days" still at the park. It's not been messed around with - not for the better - as some attractions have like for example the Tiki Room

We always have to visit COP each trip. The kids are actually disappointed if it's not open while we're there. I do wish they would update the very last seen, though.

I know, it seems to me that it is the perfect attraction to continue to add on to, and the showcase the latest changes in technology.

And we didn't get to go on it in August, and I'd be very upset if it closed before I got to see it again.

I myself had heard this rumour for years. Hopefully it will stay forever. I really feel it is just a rumour.

I've heard the rumor so much in the last few years that I thought it had closed already. I like it, but it's not a must go, unless you're there in July and want a show with AC.

I'm so glad they haven't messed with the one at Disneyland!
