Mission Space construction ahead, soft opening this Fall?

As reported by www.thrillrideexperience.com the construction of EPCOT's new e-ticket attraction, Mission: Space is ahead of schedule. The ride is scheduled to open in the spring of 2003 (possibly around Tax Day?) but it now looks as though it may have a "soft" (or limited) opening this fall.

This is good news to hear. Hopefully the ride won't get delayed for 2 years like Test Track did.

We are planning a Disney Cruise/WDW trip next fall, and it would be great if we could get a look at this ride then. We were in EPCOT during the Cast Preview of Test Track. I tried everything to get in, but no luck. Fortunately, we were back pretty soon after the official opening, so it wasn't too bad. Maybe I will have to throw a little weight around if it is still in the Cast Prview period when we get there. I will keep my out our for this!
