Disney VISA Card

Just want to say up front that this is not an advertisement, just something that I'm excited about.

After the first of the year, Bank One will be offering a Disney VISA credit card. It's planned to be an incentive card, kind of like your mileage cards, etc. where you'll be able to accumulate credits that can be applied to various Disney stuff, possibly park passes, etc. The details on the incentives haven't been worked out yet, but all I use are incentive cards so I can't wait. Right now I use a State Farm card that I get credits toward my car insurance bills, but I'll dump that for a Disney one.

I'm also not advocating going into debt. I use my card for everything, keep strict records of what I've spent, & then write one check at the end of the month, which means I pay no interest but I still accumulate credit for that particular incentive. It's just another way for an old coupon-clipping bargain shopper like me to get more bang for my bucks.

I think that's great. I would use a Disney Visa CC if they offered an incentive to use it.

I don't think they have any of the details worked out yet, but as soon as I hear I'll let everyone know.

Know what you mean, iamagrump. I'm a big bargain shopper, so I always come home & tell my husband "Look how much I saved!" and of course he says "You would have saved a lot more if you had stayed home!" But I love incentive cc & the Disney one sounds like fun. I save money by the way I shop & then I feel like I'm getting something for nothing from the CC. Get over to Potomac Mills much? I used to love that place when I was back east.

Cinderellakh20, welcome to DisneyCentral. Now, if I can keep Minnie from getting one of these things, I will be happy. Then again, it may be worth it if we can earn some annual passes out of the deal.

I, too, am looking forward to both the availability and the details of a credit card with Disney-earning potential. I would think that the sponsoring bank will automatically market it to all DVC and Disney Club members.

Since I currently utilize a credit card that offers me rewards for using it, I know that I am definitely interested in earning Disney-related rewards. (Of course, one has to be very careful not to overspend just to earn the rewards!):D

The sponsoring bank will be Bank One & I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear of any details. My DH works for VISA & that's where I've been getting my info (no, it's not secret anymore!). As soon as they get the details worked out, I'll let everyone know. I can't wait, either! I'll readily dump my other incentive cards for this one.

I was just online looking to see if Disney offered a reward card. In fact it is how I found Disneycentral.com. LadyJena, if you already have you, where can we apply? :)

CP17, welcome to DisneyCentral! As mentioned in the thread, it looks like Disney will be releasing a rewards based card in conjunction with Bank One. Disney currently does have a credit card, but it is not associated with any bank or credit card company, and can only be used at the Disney Store or at any of the Disney parks or restaurants.

Disney Credit Card

When we get the info on the new card, it will be posted here, and on the front page.
