Was there anything down while you were there? Perhaps it was a rehab? I haven't heard of anything new going in there, but of course you never know what can pop up. Maybe Park hopper will know something. Him and jmouse usually have the latest goings-on there. Hang in. I'm certain someone can tell us what is what.

Hmm intersting. Maybe one of our Florida residents can shed some light. May have just been parked there strange as that would be.

I know that Splash Mountain is going through a rehab, so maybe that is why those cranes are over there.

No they were further over towards Pirates of the Carribean. Splash Mountain did look like they had gotten some of the painting done.

I would have to believe that it is for some sort of rehab. I can't believe that a new attraction would have been able to get to the point of construction beginning without anybody knowing about it. Know what I mean?

Yeah, I do see what you are saying. I just cannot think about what kind of rehab would require a crane. What is over past MK in the Splash Mountain direction?

there is a good sized backstage area there it could have been being used for something with that. Or it may have just been waiting to be picked up or transfered to another project on property. there was a crane for splash I'm not sure when it left.

Last week, I only saw two cranes on property, one was at AK working on Expedition Everest (well, there could have been two or three there, I can't remember) and one in EPCOT working on Soarin'. I didn't see any other ones at all.

They were painting the exterior of Splash when we were there, it could have been used for that as well.

Well, way back in September...they were using cranes to paint the castle...? That's all I know!

On the subject of castles...anyone who has been to Disneyland recently, what do you think of the castle right now? I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. It was very dingy-looking. Looks like it could use an overhaul, or maybe just a fresh coat of paint.

dznygrl- they are painting the Castle Gold, I believe... or they are casting lights on it to make it LOOK old. Either way it SHOULD look much better! :)
