[Disney6]

I know I had read a few years back about Disney and David Copperfield opening a magic-themed restaurant at the Studio's. Anyone know why this was scrapped or was it put on the back burner?

9/11 put a huge strain on Disney, just like it did the rest of our country. That was he reason for PC being put on hold for soooo long. It scrapped numerous things so that is probably why.

It was even mentioned in Birnbaum's Guide as a done deal. Not sure what year it was, will do some research. It was to be located in MGM I do believe though.

Oh, I wish they would have!

I had the opportunity to do a trick with David Copperfield when I was about 16. He came right off the stage and picked me to do a shooting trick. That was such a cool experience!

I remember seeing signs for it at MGM. I think it was scrapped along time before 9/11 though. It was on my first visit in '96 that I saw the signs. The next time I went in '97 they were gone.

When DC played at the auditorium in my area 2 years ago,I was picked to go on stage and watch an illusion being performed. To this day I don't know how he did it,and I was less than 2 feet away from the action!!!

I had to shoot a specific card out of a deck of cards. They made it quite the comic sketch....pretending I had shot a stage hand and a vase on the table next to the cards !
