It's a Small World
  I hear that It's a Small World is closing from May 2004 through March of 2005 for rehab. Has anyone else heard this ? It will make my DD sad as it's one of her favorite rides.

I think closes june 7th through March of 2005 ... there is always a chance they will be
finished sooner. you can check at http://allearsnet.com/tp/rehabs.htm

why so long for disney to put "it's a small world" through rehab? are they adding new additions to it or what? what exactly are they doing that will have this ride closed for so long?

They were probably waiting for a real problem to arise, such as the roof, to put It's a Small World through an extensive rehab. It may sound bad, but there is no need to fix something if it's not broken.

That's probably why they haven't put Peter Pan through an extensive rehab. and that ride needs it bad. You could see the paint peeling and chipping on some of the characters, especially poor wendy. Right on her nose when she was on the gangplank and you fly right past her. It was so obvious when we were there in Oct. 2003. it really made me sad.

We were aware of Small World being closed when we were down at DW a week ago, but I was still disappointed. It's feels as though my trip was not complete without Small World.
But, as we all know, everything one time or another needs a "little makeover"!!!  JOANN
