Hi, Welcome to the boards ArkiePaula. My name is also Paula and I used to live in Arkansas, so it made me smile when I saw your name.
just curious which wdw resort are you staying at? The cabin might be a giveaway, but I'm not familiar with them. Welcome to Disney Central

I can be so stupid at times :dazed I just noticed that you had posted in the Disney Cruise thread. Sometimes I go along and don't even realize what thread I'm on, I'm just busy reading peoples comments.:o
It sounds like you are going to have a Wonderful Vacation. I've always wanted to do the cruise, but I've also wanted to stay at the Poly also. We stayed at AKL this past April and it was gorgeous. Ok...Back to your original question: "I know our cabin (6540) sleeps 4......does that mean it has the drop down bunk or does the sofa make into a double bed?" Have you talked to Disney Travel about your room, or your travel agent? Maybe Mickey also can find you pictures of the rooms for here. I've never seen any, but I've never looked for Cruises either. :)

OK, I think someone finally stumped me. Oh, and welcome by the way. As far as I can tell, your room is a deluxe stateroom with verandah. The majority of these rooms sleep three, and have a hidden bed in the ceiling that comes down over the couch. I believe the rooms that sleep four, there is no hidden bed, but the couch folds out to create a double sized bed. The nice thing is that there is a privacy screen between the two beds (couch and bed), so it is like a mini-suite.
I will keep checking so that I can find out for sure. Have a great trip, and I will let you know what I find out.

Mickey is right. DH and I stayed in that type of stateroom last September. It had one big bed that was VERY comfortble (I think it was king size) and a fold out couch. The two areas were seperated by heavy draperies that are tied back when not in use.
