Ok Castaway "CAY" is pronounced how???

Is it pronounced KEY or KAY?

Just wondering I have always pronounced it Key and it is a discussion as to how it is pronounced in our house!!

Anyone know??

I never, ever would have known how to say that word if we hadn't had to read "The Cay" as required reading in 6th grade. Even after all this time, I still remember that.

I've had to correct people many times..."it's KEY, not KAY!!" Hehe.

Maybe you just need to pronounce it 'key' with a pirate-y accent. It comes out 'kay'! arrgh

I always thought they were both right - kinda like "ca-RIB-beean" or "cari-BEE-an". At least I know now that I have to say "key"! :)
