We've cruised only once before and it was a 7-night eastern caribbean cruise with Carnival, and we loved the ship and the ports...but, being the Disney fans we are, we have decided that our next cruise is going to be on DCL. Been checking what's available for Jan '06 and the 4-night Bahamian cruise with a day at sea sounds right for us.
My concern is that a shorter cruise might not feature all the amenities of a 7-night cruise on the same cruise line...would that be the case with Disney Cruise line? We really want to see all the shows and participate in all sorts of activities on board. We won't be spending much time ashore in Nassau, probably a couple of hours...we want to enjoy the ship as much as possible. A longer cruise this time is not an option. It will be the end of an already way "too long" vacation (2 weeks at Disney and 1 week in Colorado), but sounds like the perfect way of relaxing before going home.

Re: Is 4-night cruise Enough?
I think if you are going to be on vacation for that long that a 4 night cruise will be plenty! I hear they offer shows and activities of all kinds, even on the 4 night cruise!
We are going to WDW for 8 days then a 4 night cruise in Dec. So my input will not be until right before you go! I know a few others are going earlier this year so watchfor their reports!

Re: Is 4-night cruise Enough?
I haven't had the chance to read DCL trip reports yet, that would probably help. Thanks for your reply and good luck in Dec.

Re: Is 4-night cruise Enough?
We've taken the 4 night cruise on the Disney Wonder twice. Both times were wonderful. There is ample time to take in all the shows, etc. You rotate restaurants everynight, so you get an opportunity to eat in 3 different ones, plus you can make a reservation for Palo's, the adult only restaurant. All the show times are worked out so that you never miss a thing. The ship is beautiful and Disney divides it's pools into three areas, children, family and adult only. If you only want to spend a few hours in Nassau I would recommend the tour of Atlantis hotel. You take a ferry ride over the Nassau Harbour, have about an hour tour of the hotel and acquariums and can be back on the ship in about 3 hours. We're planning on taking the 7 day cruise next time, but we certainly had a wonderful time on the 4 day.

Re: Is 4-night cruise Enough?
We thought the 4 day cruise was exactly the right amount of time. We are also huge Disney fans but had not cruised before. It was just right for us.

Re: Is 4-night cruise Enough?
When did you take your cruise qltingrl? Anything you'd like to share? I've never taken a Disney cruise. In fact, this will only be our second cruise.
