Where to start??
We have decided to take our parents on a 3 day disney cruise which will be included in our 10 day stay at DisneyWorld winter of 2004.
There is 11 of us which include Gma & Gpa mid 60's, 4 adults close to 40, and 17, 2- 15s, 13 year old girls and a 2 year old boy. We are thinking at least at the resorts to get 4 rooms/suites and let teens have their own and couples have their own rooms but not sure on the boat what to do. What transportation do you have from resort to cruise boat,\ What stuff is there to do... extra costs for the teen room, etc. Any info on the boat will be helpful... We are veternans when it comes to resort and parks but a new comer to the cruise event. Thanks! ![]() |

I'm not sure, but I think you have to have an adult in all rooms on the ship. It's a load of fun - you guys will have a blast!
Are you purchasing a package? Usually transportation is included in that, but if not, you can always pick up a limo transfer. I'm sure Mickey will be along shortly to clarify!

We usually just purchase everything seperately.
Always wait for special on codes, etc on resorts through mousesaver.com, etc. We are a CASH family so then don't have to do it all at once. Easier for us to budge if we do a little at a time. Thanks for the continue information. Websites are welcome also. |

Hi Kendeann! DH, DS and I went on our first disney cuise last September. It was so much fun, but we missed a lot because we were not prepared. *My first suggestion is to get all of the travel information that you can from disneyworld.com. They have a link to the Disney Cruise Line web page. You can request a planning video and booklet. *Check out the ports of call, so you know what to do when you get there. If you don't you will be hopelessly lost in Nassau on foot. (And, that is no fun! I wish that we had payed a little extra and gone to Atlantis) *GO TO THE SPA! It is wonderful and relaxing! *Get a room with a balcony. Sleep with the door open. Lounge outside in your robe in the middle of the night. Share a bottle of wine. Eat from the roomservice menu whenever you want. The pizzas are awesome! (oh, by the way, the regular rooms are kind of small..even for two people and a baby.) Happy planning!

There are Disney Cruise Line buses. You may have even seen the buses occasionaly around WDW. I didn't use them, so just ask your travel agent or Disney when you book the cruise. We went in Sept. 2000 on the cruise only, but if I remember right, you can have your bags taken straight from the ship to your room at WDW. The room key on board is the same one for your room at the WDW resort. I would suggest getting a book from Amazon or a local bookstore on cruises, because they are different than just your regular vacation. The DCL website is very helpful, especially the FAQ page.

:) You will have a blast. I have never been on the 3 or 4 day cruise but have been on the 7 day Magic cruise. With all the different age groups they have programs and place they can go. Like the Oceaneer's Lab for ages 10-12. The youngest age for one of these programs is 3 years old. They have Flounder's Nursery on board but the hours it is open is limited. They take NO CASH on board the ship, everything has to be signed for. Be very careful when buying photos that the cruise line takes of you and your family. They can get very costly if you don't keep take of what you spend. When I was on the Magic each photo cost $7.00. And you want to buy all they take cuz they are sooooooo darn cute but be careful, like I said the bill can add up fast. Also at the Spa, it is wonderful, been there done that, but it too can get costly. I will be sailing on the Magic again this January and can't wait. Hope you have a wonderful time.:)
