return from cruise ?

Was wondering if anyone who has gone on the 4 day cruise can help me. I've read that you have to get off the boat pretty early on the day of debarkation. Is this correct? 9am??? If that's the case then we shouldn't have any trouble making a 1pm flight out of Orlando, should we? We're using a car service, not the Disney transportation to get to the airport.

Re: return from cruise ?

Well, I have been off the boat by 8 AM every time. They start kicking you off at 7 AM. I try to get off early so there isn't a problem finding out luggage, and there isn't a big line to get out of the building. I have always been to the airport by about 9 AM, so you should be fine. Save some money to shop in the airport, you will have some time on your hands.

Re: return from cruise ?

Thanks Mickey, you put my mind at ease. I used a local travel agent to book the cruise but I did my own air, hotel, etc. When I told her that my flight left at 1pm she didn't feel that was enough time - in case you get caught up in immigrations??? I think maybe she was mad that I did my own air and hotel!!! So thank you VERY much!!!

Yes, you do have to get off early. 1 pm might be cutting it a little close. We had a 3 pm flight and are our transpertation and it worked great. You might make it, but you will have to be very ready and not need to check your bill. Have fun,
Kimberly

Thank you so much for saying that Mickey. How did you get to the airport?

Re: return from cruise ?

I've been on lots of cruises and no one handles departures more efficiently than Disney. We had a noon flight last time and made it with ample time to spare.

We always use Quicksilver. They have been waiting for us each time by 8 AM. They just load us up and go. Make sure you tell them you have an early flight, and that you will be off the boat at 7:30 (or when ever you want) and they will be waiting for you.

Re: return from cruise ?

Thanks for the reply. I am alot less nervous now. We are using Hapy Limo so we can get the Hummer limo to take us from DW to Port Canaveral. Maybe we can use quicksilver for the rest.
