January Cruising????

Anyone ever done a Disney cruise in January? How was the weather? Rafikiman & I have our 25th anniversary coming up in Jan of '07 & I was just sitting here & trying to decide whether we should just do WDW (with our anniversary dinner maybe at California Grill???), the cruise, or HI. Then I noticed that Jan for the 7-day western was the "value" time so that concerned me a little. Any thoughts?

Re: January Cruising????

I was on a Carnival Cruise in January 2005 to Key West and the Bahamas (6 days, 5 nights). The weather was very cool and windy. The waves were quite high and the boat did a lot of rocking. You had to take a motion sickness pill every morning or you were in trouble! I have a new found respect for the shop vac. Overall, the trip was a lot of fun, but I would definitely choose to go a few months later like March or April.

Re: January Cruising????

I have done 3 7night cruises with DCL and 2 of them have been in January. It is a perfect time to cruise the Caribbean. I am hoping to book another cruise this next year, Jan 2006. But have to check out the money bag since I am doing Disneyland in July and Vegas in September. If you can't decide on Eastern or Western itineraries I personally prefer Eastern. Sorry to get off subject there....anyway the weather is perfect, sea is calm and alot of kids are in school at the time. I would still book late seating dining though.
