My sister is leaving in 2 weeks for the land and sea combo cruise. She asked me how much money she should bring with her on her honeymoon. I have done Disney World but not the cruise and I do not know how much $$$$$ to suggest for her to bring. Any ideas?
Tips? Excursions? Pictures? Any suggestions and/or comments would be greatly appreciated?

Re: Cruise Questions?
I just got back from the 4 day Wonder Disney cruise in May.
The standard picture package- you get 10 - 6x8 pictures for about $85.00. The 8x10 pictures they take are $19.95 each. Tips...disney has a set amount of tips to leave for each person. Plus you'll want some singles to tip for the Porters, Room service, etc. From Disney's website regarding tips: What about gratuities? It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, which you will most likely be treated to in abundance aboard the ship. As a guideline, may we suggest the following: Per Guest per cruise 3-Night 4-Night 7-Night Dining Room Server $11.00 $14.75 $25.75 Dining Room Asst. Server $8.00 $10.75 $18.75 Dining Room Head Server $2.75 $3.75 $6.50 Stateroom Host/Hostess $10.75 $14.50 $25.25 Dining Manager Your Discretion Room Service Your Discretion Palo Gratuity included Vista Spa & Salon Your Discretion Babysitting Gratuity not expected Shore Excursions Optional; not included in shore excursion price. For your convenience, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. All gratuities can be charged to your room charge. At the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort, 15% is the customary gratuity at restaurants and bars. Excursions...they should know in advanced what they want to go on, and just bring some extra $$ for tips. I spent WAY more money than I had planned...just on souvineers, shirts, towels, scrapbooking, ornaments, and gifts for friends and family. I spent over $200.00 on that in ONE night!

Re: Cruise Questions?
Another place to get information is the DCL website. Another site is ALL Ears Net they have an excellent guide to download.
We too have spent WAY too much money during a cruise. Extra is always good! Enjoy!!! Lisa

Re: Cruise Questions?
One thing to also remember. And I believe it is the same with alot of cruise lines. They accept no cash as payment on board ship. You have everything charged on the card you have given before you board. So...it is VERY easy to just sign for so much good stuff that you see...be warned again VERY EASY...I recommend everyother day go the customer service counter and pay your bill with your cash you brought on board. That way you won't have an ugly surprise on your bill when you receive it.

Re: Cruise Questions?
THat's what we do. We pay cash up front & check on the balance during the trip. Since we know what the excursions will cost & have an idea what we want to spend on board... cash is the best way to keep within our budget.
