4 night cruise--- How much extra will we spend?

We are going on a 4 night cruise and I know you do not exchange any money on the cruise but I was wondering how much we should expect to spend over all on all of the extra's.

Keep in mind we will drink casually but are not heavy drinkers, we would like to do an excursion on Nassau, and snorkel, and banana boat on Castaway Cay. We will all want some souveniers. Anyone have any idea how much we should budget for?? even approximately?

Well, gratuities will run you about $10 per person per night of your cruise, so add those on there. The banana boat is $14 per person. You can rent snorkel gear, but I suggest getting the package with the bike rental and the float. That cost is $32 for adults and $16 or kids (5 - 9).

We usually don't do excursions (or drink) and we figure on about $15 per day per person, plus the gratuities. I have seen people who check out with $3,000 bills, I sure am glad mine is around $600.

I was kinda hoping to stay around $1000 at most!! Sounds doable!

Anyone else have any input?

It really depends on many different factors. If you like to do the spa thing, your bill will be much higher. DH and I spent lots of time in the Rainforest and spa last time we cruised. We also spent more than we thought we would in the shops on board. The biggest part of our bill was spa and shopping as we don't usually drink that much on a cruise..only a couple a day at most.

I do not think we will do the spa thing because of price!!

We may do an excursion in Nassau.

My wife and I did the spa, and it really was wonderful! especially the tropical rainforest rooms/saunas! Our family of four spent around $2000 total for drinks, spa, and assorted shopping (alot of shopping!)

It's well worth it!

Sounds like it may be cheaper to have her locked in the spa!!!

Peppertink, they have the same spa on the Magic?! I hope so because my wife and I really enjoyed the one on the Wonder!

Remember, little things add up. Look for the daily specials in the ship's daily paper that is delivered to your room. We did a Carnival Cruise this past year, and they had a one day special for the spa that was half off. A nice savings. Also, they had a daily drink special too.

We just went on the 4 day Wonder in June. And for a party of 4, our bill was $650.00...we do not drink except for non alcholoic so our bill for that was minimal. We did Palo's one day, the snorkle and float and bicycle on CC, and the rest was pictures and gratuities.
