So, Mickey, when's your cruise?

Whew, not for three more weeks. Anyone know where we can buy latex gloves and masks in bulk. They could go for a pretty high price on that cruise. :p

I heard they had a 14 day clean up program figured by the CDC in Atlanta that should wipe out just about everything. Mickey may be on the first Trip afterwards. That's exactly when I would want to go!

I just heard on the news this morning that it's the same virus that caused all the trouble on HollandAmerica's cruises. I don't know about the 2 weeks, though. The same report said that they'd disinfect the ship, and have it ready for its next voyage.:D :) Good luck, Mickey. If you don't feel like going because of all this, I'd be willing to bet that there are a few hundred people on these boards that would be glad to take them off your hands(just kidding-have a great time!).

Here is the followup, it looks like they will have everything ready to go for the next cruise, no delay:

Orlando Sentinel Article

I guess worse case is we arrive in Orlando and they cancel the cruise. So, we are stuck at WDW for nine days, not a problem with me!

:) I sail on Jan 11, 2003...Unless they cancel I will be there. This will be my mother in laws first cruise so I am going to spoil her right off the bat by taking her on DCL. She is my "partner in crime" when it comes to Disney. So were leaving the kids and the husbands at home, this will be "The Girls" cruise.:)

Yes, hopefully it will be our first Disney Cruise. We had planned one a year ago, but it fell through.

Diane, have a great cruise, that sounds like fun, but please stop giving Minnie any suggestions, she doesn't need any more travel ideas! :D

Hey Mickey....

:) Hope you have a great vacation. I am jealous...The Polynesian, I have always wanted to stay there. In fact our next trip down Florida way my daughter has made me promise we will stay there. I want to try out their cool restaurant, Ohana. I hear it is alot of fun and has really good food and it is all you can eat. Let us know how the Poly is and again have a "Magical" cruise.:)

Mickey

I was curious if the cruise line had contacted you to either give information or to calm any fears that passengers may have?

Well, barring any illness, I'm sure you and Minnie will have a great time! And no kids, right? That's sure to help you have a happy anniversary! :D

I know they have contacted everyone who is leaving on the cruise a week in front of us (tomorrow) to talk to them. We haven't received a call yet, and probably won't unless people start getting sick again. Who knows! It is Disney, we probably will get a call no matter what just to let us know what is going on. Passengers can also call the Disney Cruise Line if you have any questions, but I am not realy concerned at this moment. I will let you know if I hear anything.

Yep, no kids in sight! Well, not our kids anyways. I can deal with other's kids screaming in the parks a whole lot better than I can handle my own doing that. Thanks for the well wishes, we will have a great time I am sure.

You know, I generally don't even notice the "bad" kids in the parks. But I am looking forward to the adult only sections on the cruise, Castaway Cay, etc. Not that I have anything against kids, I was one once, too, but it sure will be nice to have that option.

If we don't chat beforehand, have a great time Mickey & Minnie...I can't wait for it to be our time!
