:) HI. I am new to the group and I would like to introduce myself to you. I am Disneybound. In fact, I will be visiting Mickey and the gang in March of 03. I will be going on the Disney Wonder and since it is my first Disney cruise I was hoping to get some pointers. You know, highlights that I wouldn't want to miss.

Will you be doing just the cruise or Disney World and the cruise? If WDW/DCL, how many days at each? Which resort will you be staying at? Will you be bringing any kids?

This info will help us offer suggestions, tips, etc.!

Check out the ports of call, before you leave home. Look them up on the internet and find out what there is to do. DH and I decided to play it by ear and missed some really neat stuff in Nassau.

If you can afford it, get a room with a verandah. It is priceless, spending time with a loved one on the balcony in only a robe...with a glass of wine. (my boy was 4 months old, so it helped us from feeling cooped up while he was sleeping)

Order from room service. It is free. The pizza was terrific!

Thank you for the warm welcome. We will be taking the DisneyCruise/Land package in March of 2003. We are traveling with another couple. Our son is 7 and their daughter will be 6. We are very fortunate that we were able to get a room with a verandah...and I am looking forward to wearing my bathroom while having a cup of coffee. Sounds like total heaven! My birthday is on the 24th of March (the day we arrive.)..we will have 3 extra days b4 our package starts. My husband is taking me to see the circus act La Nuba? in Downtown Disney for my special day....We are going to be staying at the Grand Floridian as we are also celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that we will be on the disney property for 6 days and our cruise is 4 days. Chris, our son, is really into dinosaurs so we are excited about the Animal Kingdom.....I am looking forward to going on the safair.

DisneyBound, welcome to DisneyCentral. In order to get a countdown, just follow the link in my signature.

My suggestions for the cruise would be to run, don't walk, and get a reservation at Palo, the adult only restaurant. My second suggestion would be to ask for a stateroom upgrade when you check in at the terminal. You never know.

Don't forget the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom! Our 7 year old LOVED it! Also, the "Boneyard" is a great place for kids to run and play (without lines!) and for mom and dad to rest!

Hey....I don't care what I am wearing....the fact is....I am wearing it on the verandah!! No offense taken. It is a habit from my earlier teaching days. Had you been in my classroom and been the lucky one to catch a typo on the board you would have had the opportunity to select a prize from the bucket! :laugh

:D Hi. I caught another mistake on my last post. Now, there wouldn't be a "typo" on the chalkboard, would there? Oh well.
I am just soooooooo looking forward to our Disney vacation.
Our son is 7 and just can't wait! He is really into dinosaurs and animals in general so I imagine that he is really going to enjoy the Animal Kingdom. It looks like some of you will be visiting Disney very soon. Have a wonderful vacation!:)

Just returned from 4 day cruise on the Wonder. When you get to Nassau take the ferry boat to the beautiful casino. Must see.
The restaurants on the boat are fabalous, don't miss Palo.
The entertainment on the boat is second to none. Next time I may not leave the boat - except for Castaway Cay, a Disney treasure - you'll love it.

Thanks for the tips. Mickey also suggested that we make reservations for Palo as soon as we board the ship. I am happy to hear that the entertainment is outstanding. Have any of you seen the circus act at Downtown Disney? La Nouba?
