Proper cruise attire

DW and I just watched the 2004 Disney Cruise video, I think I have her hooked on the idea. After watching the video she did comment on how nicely everyone on the ship was dressed. So my question to past cruisers, what will we need to bring in the way of clothing.

Thanks,
Harry

Re: Proper cruise attire

There is a dress code required for the restaurants, but I dont know if they are enforced.

Re: Proper cruise attire

During the daytime, everyone is in swim attire or shorts, etc. At dinner, men are required to have slacks and a shirt with a collar. For the most part, I wear khakis and a golf shirt or something similar. On the 7 night cruise, there are two formal nights where you are expected to where something nice, like a suit/tuxedo. Women are expected to where nice clothing to dinner. Some people really dress up on formal nights, but really, no need for a tuxedo or anything like that. When you eat at Palo, you should be nicely dressed as well.
