Trip Report! Disney Wonder Part II

On my second day, I woke up before the alarm even went off at 7. We went to the Parrot Cay for the morning breakfast buffet then off to Wavebands to meet for our excursion on Nassau. I chose the sting ray excursion, a new one. We got to go and snorkel with Stingrays.. My daughter was alright with snorkeling, it was our second time…and she loved to see the fishes, but as soon as she saw the stingrays under us…she freaked out and wanted out. She did keep trying, but after the third time watching her fly out of the water, I decided it was enough! The excursion included the Blue Lagoon beach day, which I thought was really nice. The water looks so beautiful…but it was so cold!!! We got over it for the excitement of seeing the stingrays…but just to swim in at the beach was pretty hard… We lounged out on the hammocks…rather, I lounged, my daughter kept flipping around it like a fish out of water until she finally managed being able to stay on it! :p

I took the first boat back to the ship so that I could check my daughter into the oceanears club and catch my appointment at the spa. I did the ionithermie treatment…lost 4 inches…cool…but what I notice more is that my skin is smoother. The woman was from England, and she was so cool and nice. Even though this was my first spa experience, I realized that I am modest, but not shy…which I think helps cause I was more into what she was doing than worried about what shes thinking of my body…which I realized when the thought finally did strike me….what does she care? Anyway, I totally enjoyed it…of course, I ended up buying the 2 week program to do at home… * sigh* but I was really happy with the results…that’s for sure.

After I picked up my daughter we got dressed for the evening and went to see Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer. A family we eat dinner with was chosen as a contestant, and ended up winning the most amount of onboard credit, $175. Very cool… Dinner was at Tritons…I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there… After I put my daughter into the club, I headed to Wavebands and saw Match your Mate…its like the Newleywed Game…they chose some wacky couples…it was a lot of fun to watch. Now heres the cool thing…when we went back to our room, there was a plate of chocolates along with a long piece of white chocolate that had dark chocolate stamp of the ship and Happy New Years written on it. The night before, I got a litograph of Father time Goofy and Baby new year Donald. It came with a certificate of authenticity…only 2,025 of them made just for guests sailing the Wonder for New Years..how cool is that?

What fun! The stingrays freaked me out, too.

Freaky yes! Ill even admit that my stomach did a triple flip to see them swimming around under me... I thought it was really cool though that the guide held one..the albino one, and let people pet it. Then he got another one and let my daughter feed it from the stairs since there was no way she'd go into the water to do it!

I'm so jealous! I would love a spa treatment right about now. Thank you so much for the great trip reports!

The spa treatment was really nice... I didnt dare say it was my first time ever (pride maybe?) but she was really great with me and put me at ease in every way. I think its just her personality. I ended up buying the 2 week home kit which she said will continue to work and then she even gave me her email address because she said that she would like to know how my progress goes, and to keep in contact with her! How is that for service?! :o
