My family and I are eagerly awaiting our second Disney cruise this coming July! In our paperwork we recieved in the mail so far, it says there is a special welcoming party for repeat cruisers when we get onboard!
We are all pretty excited about this, and I was wondering if any fellow DisneyCentral members have gone on multiple Disney cruises!
If so, what can we expect from the party? Just curious!

Sorry I can't tell you about Disney repeat parties, but I have been on quite a few with another cruise line and they are a lot of fun. They have FREE drinks and wonderful finger foods. It is nice because you get to meet a lot of people who have cruise before. I would think Disney will have something close to that too.


Also the Captain of the ship is there.

I, too, have been to a repeat cruisers party with Celebrity Cruise Lines! It was a very nice shindig. We got lots of free drinks , hors doevres (spelling???) and got to mingle with lots of nice people, including the captain. It was great!

Wow I didn't know that they had a party for repeat cruisers! My family is planning on going on our second one next year, now I really can't wait!

Yep - we were repeat cruisers on Disney - you get a special "check-in" counter- no waiting in lines, we got Castaway Club beach towel, and special pins. The "party" was the usual cocktail-type - drinks and appetizers. Very nice. The captain was there and the cruise director. He told us about various offers, etc. Just a "come and go" sort of thing. There are probably a few more perks, but that's all I can remember.

WOW, I am impressed! Just wrote that all down..what you said about special check-in, towels and pins. We are not going again until Feb 2007 BUT I am taking notes DAILY as to things I either missed in the first cruise or things I DEF want to do...i.e. the pillowcases at Guest Services...yes ma'am, I am doing that as well. I LOVE these Boards. Everyone giving out so much AWESOME info.

Glad your enjoying DC! Yes - the special check-in was the best! We didn't even realize. When we got to the terminal, we stood in line and a CM was coming along checking everyone's documents and he says to us "you don't belong here" and I'm already to say "oh, sorry... " and he says - you belong over here! and ushers us over to a private desk! We were in before everyone else. Did we feel good or what! And when we got to our cabin, the towel and pins were waiting, along with a reminder about the party. Oh - I almost forgot - we boarded on Superbowl Sunday, so they gave us Superbowl T-shirts, too. So - enjoy your second cruise! Who knows what suprises they'll have for you.

HEY LLAMA: If you boarded on SuperBowl Sunday..DH & I had just gotten off the SHIP!!! AHHH!!! Too funny. Hey, I have a question for you LLAMA: Did you ever receive your Castaway Club # in the mail and how soon after your FIRST trip back did it arrrive? I want to call about mine, although we just got off the ship. It may be too soon. I understand there are PERKS as well when you are a member of the Castaway Club. I also want that CD that comes with it. I want to relive all the GREAT memories we had of our first cruise.

That is too funny! (Except it was a couple of years ago - not this year. ) They had a great Superbowl Party in the ESPN Club - in fact that's why we didn't stay too long at the Castaway Party. My dh wanted to watch the game. And I noticed that you were married in 1980 - me too! I honestly can't remember when we received the number. Our first cruise was in 2002 and our second in 2004, so they may be offering different perks now.

We booked the exact same room number we had on the Wonder! This time we sail on the Magic! We absolutely can't wait!!

US TOO, US TOO!!!! We loved the WONDER and re-booked a 7 day on the MAGIC and asked for the same room 7556, same deck, same cat. We are so pumped!!!

I have been a couple of times, and will be boarding in six (yes, 6 days) days. I have never been to the party, not my type of thing. I don't plan on going next week either. We did get the towels and pins, not sure what we will get this time. I will let you know.

mickey, what did the pins look like? Were they specially made pins? Thanks!!
