Can I bring my iron on-board with me?

I know all of the information says that there are irons to use in the laundry rooms, but my DH and I are both iron-a-holics.

We would never think of heading out of the cabin without ironing our clothes (and those for DD and DS) every morning.

Can I bring my own travel iron with me? If I keep it locked in my suitcase they will never know it is there.

Do they xray suitcases on the way in? If so, will they confiscate my iron?

I know it seems trivial, but I really don't want to have to go to the laundry room every evening to iron clothes for the next day, but one of the posts I read said that you don't want to iron your "good" clothes. What else would I bring with me on my dream vacation?

Hmm, I think I am the total opposite. I don't iron anything at all unless it is a dress shirt, and then only enough so that it looks ok. We didn't bring an iron, but Minnie had to wait about an hour on the formal night to iron our stuff. If you have a travel iron, it might be worth it to you to bring it. Heaven knows I would never bring one but it sounds like it might be worth it for you.

They do scan suitcases before you board, as well as you carry on items, but I don't see how an iron would ever be confiscated. I am sure people bring them every week.

hehehehehe! I feel the same way ilvminnie!!!

I think you can request an iron to be brought you your room (free of charge) once you get to your disney resort. My sister did last time we were at all stars and they didn't charge her for it.

Oooooo.... I know that one.

It's what you use to hit the ball after you've used your driver!

I always take a travel iron with me, not that I 'like' to iron, but I like to not look like I slept in my clothes. I have found Downy Wrinkle Releaser works well on clothes that were packed to travel.

Hi Disneyeveryyear,

Welcome aboard!!:D I would check with your airlines. I don't see anything wrong with it, but they sometimes see things that we don't. Please give us details on your upcoming DREAM VACATION.
