When should I cruise...2008 or 2009?

DH said we can go on a cruise. He said in either 2008 or 2009. Here are my options:

If we go in 2008 we won't be taking ANY other vacation that year. Just the cruise. It will be 7 night or longer. If we DON'T go in 2008, we will be going to the Atlantis in May and then we can ALSO go to WDW later in the year.

If I go in 2008, Genavieve will only be turning 3. She might not be potty trained yet (I hope she is!!!

) so she MIGHT not be able to go to the Kids Club. If we wait until 2009, she will be 4. She will probably enjoy herself much more!

So...should we wait until 2009 for the Disney Cruise???

Those look like some good optiosn from the man that didn't want to go to Disney for a while!

I'd wait until 2009. I know the instant gratification of going next year is tempting, but I believe you have a very valid point about Genavieve being older and you having a better time. I know she'd be well taken care of at 3, but at 4 she'll be more independant.

Also, if you wait you'll get to go to Atlantis again, and I know how much you love it. That coupled with another WDW trip will make the wait easy.

2009 gets my vote. Although I hate the idea of having to wait that long, I think it would be your best option.

I'd wait until 2009. Being 4, Genavieve will have a much better time, (and might actually remember it!) Besides, more vacations are better than 1!

We are trying to answer the same question. We were planning on taking a DIsney cruise in 2008 but when we called the early dining was already filled for our dates.

dont worry about that- it changes all the time and you can request a change when you get on the boat.

HAHAHA....Yes, it's DISNEY cruise I am talking about! And 2 years in a row is out of the question...I'm lucky DH said yes to ONE year! And going to WDW the other year! Like Daisyd said, all this coming from a husband who never wanted to go to WDW again.

I voted on 2009 when your DD is older and able to go to the clubs.

I am pro cruise all the way but I had to vote for 2009. The only reason is that it would be a total bummer if your dd was not able to go to the clubs. That is one of the best benefits of the cruise.

Disneyteacher we were on late dining but we were able to switch to early when we boarded. What dates are you looking at?

I think you should wait until your dd is a little older and will be able to enjoy the children's programs. She might be able to do it next year, but this way you won't have to stress about her being potty trained in time.

Where does the cruise that is longer than 7 days go to?

My vote is also for 2009! I think it would better for your DD-that way she can have the most of the vacation as well!

Right now, they don't have any longer 7 night Caribbean Cruises available to book. Last year, they had a SWEET deal for 10 or 11 nights! I wish they made that available again...I would take either of those!!!

But I guess 7 nights will be sufficient.
