booking with a disney visa...
I've heard if you book vacations with your disney visa card you get like 6month no interest, does that apply to the cruises as well??
And for CM.... does it work with our discount as well?? I know the only way to book for one is to pay it off on a credit card, and it'll take a few months to pay off, but if I can avoid the current 20% interest rates that I have on current cards, I'm up for anything. And i've been looking for any excuse to get a disney visa, way too many perks.... |

Re: booking with a disney visa...
My understanding is that any Disney trip booked with Disney Visa is 6 months no interest. We booked three WDW trips with it. It's a great perk! Plus with the reward dollars you get from using the card, it's an added bonus to use them for souvenirs, food, etc.! Love our Disney Visa!!!!!!

Re: booking with a disney visa...
I see the rewards card a lot, and so many people think it's the greatest thing in the world. I actually met one person that said "charter member" on her card, when I handed it back, I asked her what it was and she said she was a card holder before it went to visa so at the change over she became a charter member.
What is the reward payback?? With my chase hess card i know it's 1% on everything and 3 or 5% on purchases at hess. I've been thinking of reusing it again but I've got a citi with 3% cash back on everything at the end of the year. |

Yes, you get 6 months free interest. We booked our cruise on the Disney Visa for May '07 and also were able to get a gift card for $80 to use on the cruise. We also just booked a 3 day on Nov. 18th with the Disney Visa. |

Our card says Charter Member as well. I was under the impression that all card holdesr that were signed up the first year, were considered Charter Members. Anyway.... the reward payback is 1 disney dollar for every $100 you charge. We use that card for everything we buy. We use it instead of cash whenever possible. We pay it off each month to avoid paying interest. The points really add up quickly. They offer double points occasionally for certain purchases.. like paying utilities, gas, etc. They send a rewards booklet in the mail to advertise these promotions. We have been very happy with it. |

Re: booking with a disney visa...
I just transferred 653 points which I am turning into Disney Dollars at the Disney Store to take with us. We are going to use them for all our food and souveniors. That was only took 2 1/2 years. Last time we used them to purchase Disneyland tickets. We pay our charge everything we can and pay it off each month. We were lucky this year - put our son's college tuition on it!

That is a great idea.. just wanted to also mention that you can get them transfered to a Disney gift (type) card that can be used anywhere in Disney. We do that with cash at City Hall in MK. Makes it alot easier than carrying cash or DD. |

Charter member here too.
I don't care if interest is at 0% or 99%. Unless I have the money to pay it off when the bill comes, I don't use my card. I use the Disney Visa for all of my household expenses and absolutely love the Reward Dollars ![]()

Re: booking with a disney visa...
I personally have a Costco American Express card. There is no annual fee as long as I remain a Costco member (which I have to for work). It earns cash $$$, 3% for dining, 2% for travel, and 1% for most other purchases (I think I have that right). While I do love Disney, this gives me some flexibility in case I choose to stay off property or want to book a flight to DL.

Re: booking with a disney visa...
Well working for disney, I do a lot of purchases here on property.
And when you're young and living less than barely, credit card debt adds up. We're paying like mad on all the old cards and they're all destroyed, but we use the one citi card that has only 300$ with the 3% cash back reward. Now that we've gone down the hole and working back out, I want to kind of level it off to help with credit scores. |

Re: booking with a disney visa...
Yupper. Booked my next trip, in April, while I was in Disney this past week (got back about 2 hours ago) and it is in fact no interest for 6 months.
