more questions, 7 day land/sea plan

My dad wants to do the 7 day land and sea option, he wants to fly to orlando, rent a car, go to WDW and stay onsite but he also wants to go to universal, busch gardens and/or sea world. I dont think we will be able to do it all. When you do the 7 day land/sea plan does disney provide a car to get you from the airport to resort at WDW? then do they pick you up and take you to the ship in port canaveral or do you have to find your own transportation? I think we should either do the 7 day land/sea and stay at WDW and go to those theme parks or do a 4 day disney cruise and plan universal, busch gardens and sea world seperately. when you do the 7 day land/sea does the price include the stay at WDW and the cruise price, what about theme park tickets are those in there too? What kind of park tickets are they? thanks.
Kim

When you price out your cruise, one of the options is airport transfers. As part of the land/sea package, they will take you from the airport to WDW, WDW to the cruise ship, and then back to the airport. I think the cost is about $99 per person, though kids may be less. If you have more than three people, you should look into Tiffany towncar. I think their cost is about $250 to $300 for the three trips, and they are much faster.

The price of the 7 night land/sea package includes either 3 or 4 night cruise, and then 3 or 4 nights at WDW. Staterooms between a category 12 and 8 will stay at one of the moderate resorts while staterooms 7 through 4 are at Animal Kingdom, Beach Club or the Poly. 3 and above stay at the Grand Floridian. Ultimate park hoppers are included. When you check in for your hotel stay, that is the only time you have to check in, and your key also works as your park passes and your key on board the cruise line.

I would probably suggest against doing anything outside of Disney if you go with a land/sea package, since your Disney tickets are paid for already, and save the other stuff for another trip when you can just buy a 4 day park hopper for your 7 night trip. The land/sea package is usually a great deal, with the land portion costing less than any other way to do it. To get the most out of your package, I would suggest that you plan on arriving one night before your plan starts, and pay for room only at your resort, and then when you wake up on your first morning, your park passes are ready to go, and you don't waste a day of your package getting to Orlando.

Once on board the cruise, all food is included in the price, including meals, room service and the hot dog/hamburger places between meals. Non-alcoholic drinks are included with meals, but anything between meal time, as far as drinks go, are not included. Excursions are not included, and are extra, but not necessary. Transfers and insurance are optional, though of course, you have to get to the boat somehow. If you are driving to the port, they will charge you a nightly rate to park, but it is much cheaper than the transfers. Gratuities are also not included. That is about it. And of course, souvenirs, any shopping, spa treatments, bingo cards, internet access are not included.

At WDW, it is basically the room and Ultimate Park hoppers that are included. Food, drinks, etc, are not included in the price. The nice thing is that if you stay at AKL as part of a land/sea, you get a savannah view room. Just garden view at Poly.

All meals and snacks onboard ship are included. Non alcoholic beverages served with your meals are included. There are places to get ice cream, burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, and fries any time which are all included. Its a great deal!
