Re: yes, another question

Yes, the terminal does open at 10:00. We were one of those crazy families that got there right at 10:00, actually I think it was a few minutes before because we had to wait for the terminal to open (we were the first ones there).

For us, we were just so darn excited to get on the ship that waiting around at the hotel would have been torture. I actually enjoyed our time at the port. The model of the ship is very cool to spend some time looking at and once the crowds start arriving that becomes more difficult. It was also fun going outside and checking out the ship and seeing all of the activity around it with the staff taking things on and off the ship.

I would do it the same way next time, it just made it seem like the cruise started earlier. I should point out that we were not staying at WDW before the cruise, hanging out at one of their hotels would be more fun that the hotels in Port Canaveral.

Either way, enjoy your trip! You're going to love it.

Alright, thank you KiKi
I guess, it really just depends on how easy we're going to wake up that morning. I can imagine being too excited to sleep in.

Re: yes, another question

We're early boarders too!

Like everything else, the terminal is totally "Disney". It's designed in Art Deco to represent the terminals of the 1930's. It's worth it to get there early just to look around. It's the most beautiful terminal I've ever been in. And be prepared - as you enter the ship a porter will call out "The Dopey Family" (all your names) Welcome Aboard! (and everyone claps).

Interesting that you bring up the terminal's decor, because every photo I have ever seen makes it look like this big empty, cold space. So now, I am not so opposed to getting there early, if there's something to enjoy before getting on that ship.

Iris and Mike Dopey - I cannot wait to hear that
