On our first cruise we went to the straw market and then walked to a public beach! It was a BUST! the beach was dirty and full of broken shells and rocks!!! I was sad we did not go over to paradise island!!

Sooo on the next cruise we paid a taxi to go over to paradise island for a beach day!!! It was amazing!!! The beach and the water was fantasic!! We ate a huge breakfast, so we did not have a need for lunch. We played on the beach and in the water from about 10 until 2 or 3 then caught a taxi back! We loved it and some of our BEST pictures from our cruise are from that day!!! We snorkled some too! Did not see a whole lot but it was still fun!!! Our kids found some pretty cool shells too!

So if you get off the boat go over to paradise island it is well worth it! We did not take the water taxi only because we heard that it takes a long time and when you get over to paradise island you have quite a walk to the beach!! Good luck deciding! We love the beach and that made our decision for us!!!
