I have been on many cruises (non-Disney).

Re: Cruise Newbie

Try and catch the shows on the Travel Channel. They also talk in detail about the disney cruises. If you want to get a good price check Discount Cruises, Last Minute Cruises, Cruise, Cruise Line, Cruise Vacation Right now they are doing 33% off alot of the Disney trips.

Re: Cruise Newbie

Thanks! Has anyone ever done the 3 Night on Land/4 Night on Sea package? I know it must be a rush! But is the hotel stay included in the end price. I chose a deluxe resort from the list and it only went up like 1800. Is dining package included?

Re: Cruise Newbie

Disney cruises are fantastic...and expensive as are ALL cruises. But don't let the price scare you off.

You have to remember that the cruise includes lodging, transportation (other than to and from the departure port), entertainment, meals, and lodging. The only extras are excursions (off the ship) and the "good" drinks. Other cruise lines charge for soda - even with meals.

Other than that, you'll want to tip your servers and cabin stewards. And there are surcharges for gas now on EVERY cruise line.

It's a great vacation. I would recommend the park first then cruise. Just have fun then unwind.

Oh, and welcome to Mousebuzz!

Re: Cruise Newbie

Welcome to MouseBuzz,Amanda!

My family and I have done three Disney cruises! Two were Land/Sea, and one was a seven day Eastern Caribbean! We are doing another seven day this October!

The Land/Sea cruises are excellent! We stayed at the Poly both times, and it was a great way to gear up for the cruise! It's two vacations in one!

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help you out!
