Re: Dolphinaris in Cozumel

We did book it! thanks for asking. We decided to book through the cruiseline though and pay the extra money cause DH was concerned about if there was a storm that cancelled the cruise could we get our money back or not and he said if we book through the cruiseline we were covered in that situation. I can't wait, we are all so excited !!!

Well I can see the merit in that. Better safe than sorry. I did think of that, but decided that the risk was so small that I'd take the chance. The thing I thought might happen is that they changed the route so we arrived on a different day, but the people at Dolphinaris said that wouldn't be a problem, they'd let us in on another day. Out of curiosity, how much extra did you have to pay to do it through the cruise line?

Looking at your countdown, we'll actually be back in the Caribbean again before you leave. No Cozumel this time though. 12 night Southern Caribbean cruise to places like Barbados, Dominica and Antigua.

Re: Dolphinaris in Cozumel

It was $160 for adults and $145 for our daughter. This did also include the taxi ride over to Dolphinaris according to DH.

Ouch! That's one expensive taxi ride. You can walk there from the ship in 10 minutes or a 15 minute slow stroll. Having said that, it depends which programme you're doing. If you are just doing the dolphin encounter then you're paying $40 per person extra, but there are some other, more expensive programmes. Like you said, at least you've got the insurance element in there. And trust me, you will absolutely LOVE it!! Are you having a non-swimmer go as 'official photographer?' I think that's an important element, unless you want to pay a fortune for just a few pics and a DVD.
