Super packing list for cruise???
Hi all !
I was wondering if Dana (or anyone else )might have a super packing list for the cruises? I pretty much know what I need to take, but would love a guideline to follow. Especially from someone who has been there, done that! Thanks, Michelle

Here's one I found on another site!
Cruise Vacation Packing List Not sure if the list has this, but you should really pack one of these: Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer with 20 Pockets : Target Cabins are quite small...space is at a premium. You can hang one of these over the closet or bathroom door to store all of your stuff!!!

Not sure if it's mentioned in the list iluvwdw linked, but a highlighter is definitely a good idea for highlighting things in the daily newletter you don't want to miss. Also, if you'll be splitting up on the ship to do separate activities, bring some post it notes for leaving messages for each other.

A small hand-steamer is great for taking the creases out of clothes. Just hang them in the bathroom and run the steamer over them. I got one for $25 at Costco. It worked great.

I just use the packing list from the Passporter. I had all I needed.

Re: Super packing list for cruise???
ha, I never follow packing lists. I can hardly pack. I want all of my clothes... I need options!
As for cruises, though, I highly recommend bringing a power strip. On our last cruise, there were only two outlets in our stateroom. In fact, you might want to bring two - one for the vanity area, and one for the bathroom. That way, you can plug all of your chargers in at once, as well as your hair equipment. ![]()

Re: Super packing list for cruise???
Thank you all for these great suggestions so far. I really appreciate it.
Llama, You can take one of those on the ship? I read that don't have irons in the room so if we could take a hand steamer that would come in pretty handy.

I didn't have any problem with the steamer. (This was Norwegian Line). Most Lines do have irons for you to use. You just have to ask your room steward and they'll deliver an iron and mini-ironing board. Disney did have a laundry room, with irons and ironing boards for public use.

Re: Super packing list for cruise???
They do have irons, but you have to either go to the laundrey/ironing room, or have a porter take your items to get ironed. Last Disney cruise we did, we were toldthat for safety reasons, irons were not allowed in the staterooms! There was no charge for the ironing!
