Question re: dining w/ people in your group

I'm going with my parents on a cruise Nov/Dec. I booked one room for them and one for me all on my charge card. Naturally, we want to be at the same dining table. I didn't think that would be a probelm - we all even have the same last name - until a few days ago when I started to worry. Will they know enough to seat us at the same table?? Or do I have to request that? And HOW?!? as the people at the desk on the ship are morons. :(

Also, I'd like to have a table just the three of us and not be with anyone else. I noted there were several tables for 4 in the dining area. Is it possible we could get assigned to one of these without a fourth person?

I think I would contact someone now and make my request, follow up before I left, and check on it when I arrived on the ship. Did you use a travel agent that could take care of this for you? Good luck!

Did you have your travel agent make that request on your reservation?

My MIL sailed with us and was in a separate room. She just had the TA make a notation that we all wanted to be seated together, and with no one else at the table (so she could maximize Grandparent time) Our wish was granted, on a sold out ship.

Why don't you try and e mail the cruise line directly at dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com. I sent a request about asuprise birthday celebration for my DW when we cruise in May and they got back to me with an answer in two days. It's worth a shot.

This will not be a problem. Simply phone the cruise line and request a table for yourself and your parents, and which seating you require. We had a table for our family of four when we were on the cruise. At the table next to us were a family of 3. This seemed to be the normal procedure. Remember, you don't eat in the same dining room every night. You, and your servers, rotate amongst 3 dining rooms. I called to change our seating from the early to late one, and it was not a problem. If you used a travel agent, have them make the call. If not, and you have received your information package from Disney, the phone number to call will be listed there.

Thanks for all the advice!! I shall try an email, and follow up with a phone call. :) Glad to know that it sounds like this should be possible!
