    disappointed at the CR

    stayed at CR week of 4-20-03. Had 2 connecting rooms in N. Wing. Rooms were dirty, screen doors wouldn't slide open, numerous light bulbs were burnt out. In one room we had 2 bathrm. bulbs out for a complete 7 days. Complained & they said they would take care of it. Only screen door was fixed all week. For the price we paid, never again!

    Welcome to DisneyCentral. Yes, the wing rooms at the Contemporary are in dire need of a rehab. The one thing to keep in mind though is that often the wing rooms are half of what the tower rooms are (they were just $159 for the early summer). You pay for the location of being on the monorail and close the Magic Kingdom.

    Typically, I would suggest guests stay at the Wilderness Lodge rather than in the wing rooms.
    Frank Costanza: You can drop a grand in Disney World, like that.

    That is very dissappointing. Sorry to hear about that. You do pay a lot to stay anywhere at Disney, and that is totally unacceptable.
    Thankfully it is the exception and not the norm.

    Sorry to hear about your trip Mmartin! Have you registered your email with the Disney web site? I filled out an online survey when I ordered my vacation planning DVD and then when we got back from our Jan trip at POR I recieved another online survey asking about POR. It was very thorough asking about service, the room, restaruants, pool, etc... I don't know how I was chosen to complete the survey but I like that they wanted my input. Perhaps it is surveys like these that prompt them to close a resort for rehab.? Just curious, did you make your concerns known during your stay? I've always found the staff to be overly helpful but haven't stayed at CR.

    That is why I never stay in the wings. Only the Tower. Sorry to hear about your room.

    we had a stay one year at my fav the CBR and had some problems with housekeeping .. when we got home I sat down and wrote a letter saying how we had excepted better .. surprise surprise I recieved one back (and 5 CBR mugs) with a free night which we have never used ..but the thing is you should always let them know when things are not up to your expectiations (spelling?) just as I think you should let them know when they have exceeded your expectations. There is that envelope thats in your room .. use it !! and add your own comments.
