200 DVC points to rent

I have 200 DVC points available. $10 per point. BWV, September use year. Discount to DVC members who can have points directly added to their account or for all 200 poins.

Dr. Disney, welcome to DisneyCentral! I am going to assume that these are September 2002 use year, or are they September 2001?

If anyone has any questions about these, and what you can get for them, let me know, I would be glad to help.

As an example, for 200 points, you can stay as many as 13 nights at Boardwalk Villa in a standard view room, or 12 nights in a preferred during May, June 1-10 or August 16-31. Of during the busy summer months, just about the same amount of days. The same amount would apply for the Beach Club Villas or the Villas at Wildreness Lodge.

Normally, renting these rooms from Disney is going to cost you at least $300 per night, so you could save significantly. If you decide to purchase some points, please follow some common sense rules: Put down a small down payment, and put the rest in escrow until you arrive and check in. There are a couple of online escrow companies, I will make a suggestion if you like. Also remember that availability is much less that at normal resorts. You can make a reservation at BWV as many as 11 months in advance, and most of the rooms fill up quickly during busy times. Make sure you check availability before you buy (the seller will have to do that). If the points are September 2002, you will have 2 years to use the points, and if they are September 2001, you must use them by the end of next August.

Wow Mickey that's a great deal. I never even thought of buying/renting points. I definately want to find out more info for my Dec 2003 trip. We want to stay at a home away from home resort and were lookingat BWV. If we want to stay for about 10 days how many points do I need and when should I look into buying?
